鈥淭he placement with Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has been such a valuable experience. I鈥檝e had opportunities to put what the degree has taught me into practice, whilst also gaining experience that will help me throughout the final year of my Forestry degree.听

A key benefit has been the chance to visit a range of sites and to work with different teams that all contribute to the ongoing sustainable management of the forest. As I鈥檝e grown in knowledge and confidence, I鈥檝e been given my own responsibilities to supervise different operations and projects.听

This placement experience has helped to prepare me for my future career, and I would strongly encourage any forestry student to apply for a placement year.鈥澨
